Our Summer Concert 2015 is the third in our 15th Anniversary Year, and our final concert of the year in the Harrow area.  As well as Sing We And Chant It the concert programme will contain music by many other modern composers including Howard Goodall, Take That and Carole King. It will also feature Eric Whitacre’s The Seal Lullaby and a new arrangement of the hymn How Can I Keep From Singing?, made popular by Irish singer Enya.  We will end each half of the concert with a medley of songs as a tribute to The Everly Brothers and The Beatles respectively.

We are also delighted to welcome back by popular demand award winning brass quintet Quintabile as our guest performers, who also performed at our Summer Concert 2013.

Quintabile Brass Ensemble

We are delighted to welcome Quintabile as our guest performers

Quintabile Brass Ensemble are a prize-winning ensemble formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2007. The group’s recital highlights include performances at The Barbican, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, and Colston Hall, Bristol. They have won the 2013/14 Philharmonia-Martin Musical Scholarship Fund chamber music award, were recipients of the audience prize and runners-up in the 2014 St. Martin-in-the-Fields chamber music competition, and were finalists in the Worcester Three Choirs Festival Brass Competition 2011.

Quintabile’s residencies have included Newark Brass Festival (2009), Dartington International Music Festival (2010) and Combret Music Festival, France (2011). In July 2013 the quintet crossed the Atlantic to perform at the world renowned Banff International Music Festival in Canada, where they performed alongside American super group All Star Brass. Quintabile are proud to be part of the Live Music Now! scheme, with whom they have performed extensively across the UK and also enjoy sharing their enthusiasm with school children, having established links with both the Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire Music Services. In 2013 Quintabile released their first studio album (which can be purchased via their website) and have been broadcast to international audiences on the BBC World Service. The group was also featured in an article in the UK publication The Brass Herald.

Quintabile are Concordia Foundation Chamber Music Artists 2013 and are supported by The Fidelio Trust, Tillett Trust and Association Musique Combret.
